When a client seeks a veterinarian, they not only seek the medical knowledge and skills of a veterinarian, they seek a "home" for their pets' care where they feel welcome,comfortable, and familiar every time they visit. Veterinary medicine is similar to pediatric medicine in that our furry patients cannot speak for themselves to tell us how they feel and what's going on. Bonding with a client and their pets builds a foundation of trust that promotes long-term relationships and keeps a client coming back.

At American Animal Hospital, that bond begins the minute you walk in our front door. Shelly and I, as the front office client care representatives, greet you and your pet with warmth and sincerity. We will oooh and ahhh over your pet and spoil them as if they were our own. We often joke that all rules go out the door when it comes to giving out treats and hugs to your pet. It's kind of like visits to Grandma's house... spoil them rotten while they visit and they can't wait to come back again! This enthusiasm spills over onto our clients. Shelly and I are the first impression of American Animal Hospital that a client has and we want our clients to feel at home when they visit us.

Shelly and I take time to listen to what clients want and need, whether over the telephone or in person. We are the first in line to meet the needs of our clients. The rest of the team at American Animal Hospital follows through with their excellent care and attention to each individual client and patient. At American Animal Hospital, we never want any client to feel rushed through an appointment, so we schedule our appointments with that goal in mind. If you are visiting for the first time, expect us to spend an hour getting to know you and your pet! We want to establish a bond that will last many years. You can also expect to hear from Shelly and I, as we make follow up calls to find out how your pet is doing after an illness or procedure and we want to make sure your medical progress exam appointment is made.
