JoAnn and a Dachshund named Sofia
JoAnn Christian sent AAH this note about Sofia and other naughty Dachshunds.
Hi, Pat and company:
Imagine my surprise when, right after reading Dr. Mahoney's column in the News-Record, I went to the mailbox and discovered a mailing from American Animal Hospital!
I haven't had a dachshund in several years, not that I haven't run into Pat and received encouragement in that direction. He has blamed me for the dachshund influence that led him to Captain Hook. Has Hook mellowed out, or is he still a mischief-making, naughty dachs?! In my experience (4 dachshunds over 40 years, since I was a kid), ALL dachshunds are naughty. Our Sophie was the Naughtiest Dog in Neenah, and I have put a few stories about her on Baddogs.com.
Pat conned me into being the first person to take their pet onstage at the first CommunityFest pet show. I still have the ribbon from July 3, 1994! It's right over there, on the wall of my home office, next to a few dachsy pictures.
No doggy at my house anymore, though I do dogsit a naughty little dachshund named Chili Dog about 3 times a year. That's enough to remind us why we don't have one full time anymore - hahaha! She is something else, and will stay with us and run the household for 5 or 6 days in October.
It's tempting to get another pet just to be able to go to the American Animal Hospital! I have long told people that you and your pet will be treated better there than you are at any HUMAN clinic. It's the truth.
